Manitoba First Nations Wellness Center

ThunderHorse First Nations Medical Development is a transformative healthcare initiative designed to deliver culturally integrated, patient-centered medical services for First Nations communities across Manitoba. The project brings together conventional healthcare professionals and traditional healing practitioners within a single, purpose-built medical campus, creating a holistic model of care that supports physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The facility will provide comprehensive services including primary care clinics, dialysis treatment, long-term care, addiction and detox programs, rehabilitation services, and culturally grounded healing spaces, ensuring patients and families receive accessible, respectful care tailored to their needs. 

Located in Winnipeg, the development combines healthcare delivery with supportive accommodations, extended-stay housing, and family suites to serve patients traveling from remote communities. Designed as both a healthcare hub and an economic catalyst, the project will generate significant employment opportunities across medical, technical, hospitality, and operational sectors while establishing a sustainable framework for long-term community health outcomes. By integrating modern medical infrastructure with Indigenous knowledge and culturally sensitive design, ThunderHorse aims to redefine healthcare accessibility and create a scalable model for future First Nations healthcare developments across Canada.
